When I started writing this story, I was getting burned out with the intensity of His (Desert) Story and just wanted to do something more lighthearted. Very little forethought went into this story - I just started writing. In fact, most of this book was written out of order. I simply wrote whatever scenes and situations came to mind, then I connected them all in the end and tried to smooth the flow.
To my surprise, this became one of my most well-liked books. Now that almost a decade has passed since its initial release, I'm looking forward to revisiting it and seeing how I can improve it while preserving the things readers loved about it the first time.
