When Jonathan's father insists that he get married, Jonathan delays the inevitable for as long as possible. When his father steps in to take matters into his own hands, things become complicated, especially since Jonathan is a prince on the brink of war.

Elise is caught up in the battle between these two monarchs, and she is trying to take care of her own family, including her widowed father and two younger, rambunctious sisters. When the enemies of her new husband bring the fight closer to home, she becomes a target as well.

Can Jonathan keep his new wife safe and make amends with her while holding his kingdom together?
