Diamond Fire Stories
"Diamond fire" is the term commonly used to describe the phenomenon when white light strikes a diamond's facets and is refracted into rainbow colors. I like to think of my writing this way. See, I have the greatest privilege in the world: to sit at the feet of my savior Jesus Christ and listen to Him tell me stories. Then, in additional privilege, I get to write them down and share them with the world. I do not come up with these stories on my own; we work them out together. The more of Him that there is in the stories, the better they turn out. If there's ever a time you're reading one of my stories and think, "That's so good," it was all from Him. (If, on the other hand, something falls short, that is because God is generously and lovingly using a grace-covered, imperfect scribe.)
This is like diamond fire. The white light of Him shines through me, and all these colorful stories come out!
That is why the theme verse of this website is Isaiah 26:12 - all the works that I have accomplished, He is the one who has really been performing them.

"Not to us, O LORD, not to us,
but to Your name give glory
because of Your chesed
(steadfast love),
because of Your emeth
(steadfast truth)."

I was born and raised in Kansas, and I love it - even the wind. I'm a country girl at heart and feel slightly claustrophobic whenever I visit a city's downtown. Wide open spaces are my favorite. Although I absolutely adore getting to know people and making friends with everyone, I am actually a full-blooded introvert. (I know that sounds contradictory, but being around other people is not what recharges my batteries, so to speak; only being by myself does.) I just really like to learn, and there is nothing more fascinating than meeting and getting to know and learning to appreciate another God-created soul. But writing for me is more about getting to know two people: myself and God. It is how I ask Him questions and find out His answers in story-form. It is how I see His love in full color and explore the depths of His grace. I hope you enjoy following the trails He has taken me down! |
All my love,
Sara Nicole
