My first book to be published! One might think I would have a certain amount of nostalgia over this story, but unfortunately, no. Most of what I remember is how hard it was to write - not because of the length, but because of the topic. Ariella's character represents me and all of humankind to some degree, and her life is a constant question to Habib (who represents God): Do you love me even if...? That is a very personal question to ask, and overall I love this story because the answer is a resounding Yes!
But now that more than a decade has passed, I'm ready to revisit this story and put these years of writing experience to use in updating it. The answer to Ariella's question is still Yes! I'm ready to ask the question in a new way.
